The latest in an award-winning and critically acclaimed series of box sets, BRILLIANT ADVENTURE (1992 – 2001) includes newly-remastered versions of some of Bowie’s most underrated and experimental material: BLACK TIE WHITE NOISE, THE BUDDHA OF SUBURBIA, 1.OUTSIDE, EARTHLING, and ‘hours…’ along with the expanded live album BBC RADIO THEATRE, LONDON, JUNE 27, 2000, the non-album / alternative version / B-sides and soundtrack music compilation RE:CALL 5 and the legendary previously unreleased album, TOY.
Exclusive to the Brilliant Adventure box set are BBC RADIO THEATRE, LONDON, JUNE 27, 2000 and RE:CALL 5. The former was recorded two days after the famous Glastonbury performance in front of 500 lucky fans at the BBC’s art deco theatre in central London. Selections from the show were available as the third CD in a very limited 3CD edition of BOWIE AT THE BEEB in September 2000 but the full concert has never before been available on vinyl. RE:CALL 5 features 39 non-album / alternative version / b-sides and soundtrack songs over 4LPs. Both BBC RADIO THEATRE, LONDON, JUNE 2000 and RE:CALL 5 are exclusive to the box set.

The physical box set’s accompanying book, 128 in the vinyl set, will feature rarely seen and previously unpublished photos by photographers including Frank W. Ockenfels 3, Nick Knight, John Scarisbrick and Nina Schultz Terner and others, as well as memorabilia, technical notes about the albums from producers/engineers Brian Eno, Nile Rodgers, Reeves Gabrels and Mark Plati as well as a new an interview with THE BUDDHA OF SUBURBIA collaborator Erdal Kizilcay.

Loving itMarch 4, 2022Had some issues with one of the vinyls, Customer service helped me sort it out and am now enjoying every second of this set. I discovered him as a teen in the late the 80s and just followed him onwards, love having these on vinyl.

Rick HarperJanuary 28, 2022Another great box set. The box, the artwork, the book, and the LPs are all up to the standard of the previous era box sets. If there is one thing I was disappointed with, it’s the lack of gatefold album covers. I’m guessing this was done so the box itself would remain close to the size of the others. Maybe the stand-alone LPs will be have the proper gatefolds, once they are released. All-in-all, I’m very satisfied with my purchase and the records sound amazing, as usual. I’m loving the TOY album!

JohnJanuary 5, 2022Truly fantastic set. The official version of Toy is very good, and all of the studio albums are terrific on vinyl. The re:Call and BBC albums are very nice as well. All in all could be the 2nd or 3rd best of the box sets.

Andrew McPhersonDecember 14, 2021Just received my vinyl box set of the new Bowie Brilliant Adventure collection and, like the previous editions, it is meticulously conceived and stunningly rendered. The additional unreleased material is voluminous and the care and craft in recreating previous incarnations of the releases or new releases such as Toy is nothing short of gorgeous. Thank you for overseeing and regifting the diehard fans with collections that are worth their weight in gold.

Eric GreenwoodDecember 8, 2021Beautifully packaged with detail and care. It's a sturdy, well-constructed set. Records are stored in anti-static sleeves with the color sleeve inserts separate. Pressings are quiet and flat. Hardbound book is gorgeous. Amazing package.

KevinDecember 7, 2021Amazing! I don’t know where Parlaphone presses their records, but these are basically flawless. Just like all of my other Bowie reissues. So basically 100 LPs and hardly a defect among them. The box set is top notch quality. Jackets and book are extremely well done. Well worth the money and so excited to finally have these Bowie albums in my collection.
