Already owning Hunky Dory on vinyl and knowing that picture discs do not provide the best sound quality this picture disc was purchased for display as a collectors item and particularly for the poster. Was not disappointed. Very pleased with the purchase.

It's a classic album. I love the packaging, I love the look of it...but the sound quality is marred by *very* high surface noise. I have a high quality turntable, which is properly aligned, other records play fine, but this one has a LOT of noise. I was also disappointed there was no digital download included (flac), I do of course already own the CD that I bought 20 or so years ago, so it doesn't really impact me, but considering the price I think it should be included for those that don't have the CD. To summarize, it's a nice collectible souvenir, but for practical high quality playback, I'll stick to the CD.

My first experience with Bowie was when I had tickets to a T-Rex concert, that got cancelled. They offered money back, or tickets to some guy named David Bowie. I went. He landed, did his gig, and took off to wherever he came from. I was blown away. I actually did not get into this record until a few years after the glam phase was gone. What a fabulous record. The songwriting is incredible. Some of the best songs he ever wrote are on this album. I became a lifelong fan and miss him terribly. Thank you David, wherever you've now landed. I hope you're still writing songs.

Love the packaging and the album is (of course) incredible. What wasn’t great was the sound quality of the pressing. There is way too much noise when playing it. I cleaned the record, cleaned my needle, and still there was way to much static and noise to be acceptable.
