First time on CD and LP, SOMETHING IN THE AIR (LIVE PARIS 99) is the fifth of six strictly limited-edition live albums in the Brilliant Live Adventures series.
The 15-track set features twelve recordings previously unavailable outside of streaming and three tracks originally issued as B-sides to singles from the ’hours…’ album. On the day of the show, Bowie was appointed Commandeur de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres—France’s highest artistic honor.
The Élysée Montmartre performance was one of only seven full shows promoting ’hours…’. For this limited run, Bowie dug deep into his catalog. Standouts include “Can’t Help Thinking About Me” (first released in 1966 and not performed live in over 30 years), “Word on a Wing” (reinstated after 23 years), “Drive-In Saturday” (not performed since 1974), and “Something in the Air” (making its live debut here).

What a great recording. Besides the music , I enjoy he's comments to the audience.Having seen him in concert three times, it brings back memories. I have a lot of his music, always like finding recordings,I don't have, Look forward to purchasing, the other live recordings.

This show is a terrific mixture of songs from Hours plus great versions of some Bowie classics, and even a Tin Machine song. A great set!
